What is Vesugen?
A synthetic three-amino-acid peptide designed from fragments of vascular endothelial tissue, also known as KED, Vesugen is studied for its effects on blood-vessel health and vascular ageing. Research focuses on its proposed direct action on DNA and its influence on genes tied to blood-vessel cell ageing.
- Studied for its proposed sequence-specific interaction with DNA.
- Investigated as a peptide bioregulator in vascular-tissue research models.
- Examined for its influence on endothelial-cell ageing genes in research models.
- Used as a research tool to study peptide regulation of gene expression.
For research use only. Not intended for human use.
Within the Khavinson bioregulatory peptide framework, the vascular tripeptide Vesugen exemplifies the tissue-specific short peptide approach. Also designated Lys-Glu-Asp vascular tripeptide, has the molecular formula C16H28N4O8 and a molecular weight of 408.42 g/mol. Its sequence Lys-Glu-Asp combines one basic and two acidic residues. Produced via solid-phase peptide synthesis.
In vitro studies using human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC) cultures have investigated whether Vesugen alters the transcription of genes encoding endothelial adhesion molecules and tight junction proteins. In vivo aged rodent models have explored whether systemic Vesugen administration modulates vascular endothelial gene expression profiles in aortic tissue.
Manufactured in a quality-controlled laboratory to a guaranteed purity of 98% or above. Every batch undergoes independent third-party testing using HPLC and MS-UPLC analysis before dispatch. Vials are vacuum sealed and stored in a temperature-controlled, monitored cold storage system. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
Sold strictly for in vitro research purposes only. Not for human consumption. Intended for use by qualified researchers in laboratory settings only.
