Vesugen is a synthetic tripeptide consisting of the sequence lysine-glutamic acid-aspartic acid (Lys-Glu-Asp), developed by Professor Vladimir Khavinson's group as a tissue-associated short regulatory peptide bioregulator originally characterised from vascular tissue fractions. As a member of the Khavinson bioregulator class, Vesugen is studied in preclinical research for its interactions with endothelial cell gene regulatory elements, chromatin binding properties, and transcriptional modulation in vascular cell biology models in vitro.
