What is Thymalin?
A standardised mixture of small peptides extracted from calf thymus tissue rather than a single compound, Thymalin is studied for its effects on immune function and age-related immune decline. Research focuses on its multiple active fractions, several linked to T-cell maturation, and their effect on immune and inflammatory signalling.
- Studied for its multiple active fractions linked to T-cell maturation.
- Investigated in research models for immune and inflammatory signalling.
- Examined for its effects on immune-cell development in vitro.
- Used as a research tool to study thymic peptide biology.
For research use only. Not intended for human use.
Unlike single-sequence synthetic peptides, Thymalin is a standardised polypeptide complex derived from bovine thymus investigated as a multi-component research tool in thymic immunobiology. Also referred to as thymic polypeptide extract, this complex comprises a mixture of peptides spanning an approximate molecular weight range of 1000 to 3000 g/mol.
In vitro studies using thymocyte and peripheral lymphocyte co-culture systems have examined whether the polypeptide complex modulates T-cell differentiation marker expression through mechanisms differing from those observed with individual thymic peptides. In vivo rodent models have investigated age-related changes in thymic microarchitecture and T-cell output following serial administration of thymic polypeptide extract.
Manufactured in a quality-controlled laboratory to a guaranteed purity of 98% or above. Every batch undergoes independent third-party testing using HPLC and MS-UPLC analysis before dispatch. Vials are vacuum sealed and stored in a temperature-controlled, monitored cold storage system. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
Sold strictly for in vitro research purposes only. Not for human consumption. Intended for use by qualified researchers in laboratory settings only.
