Pinealon (EDR peptide) is a synthetic tripeptide consisting of glutamic acid, aspartic acid, and arginine (Glu-Asp-Arg), originally identified by Professor Vladimir Khavinson as a bioregulatory peptide associated with the pineal gland and brain cortex tissue fractions. As a member of the short regulatory peptide (bioregulator) class, Pinealon is studied in preclinical neuroscience research for its interactions with DNA in nuclear and cellular compartments, its effects on gene expression, and its antioxidative and neuroprotective properties in vitro. It is produced via solid-phase peptide synthesis.
