What is Thymagen (Thymogen)?
A synthetic two-amino-acid peptide and one of the shortest immune bioregulators in its series, also known as Thymogen or EW, Thymagen is studied for its effects on immune function and inflammation. Research focuses on its modulation of immune-cell signalling and reduction of inflammatory signalling molecules.
- Studied for its modulation of immune-cell signalling.
- Investigated in research models for inflammatory-signalling pathways.
- Examined as one of the shortest peptide immune bioregulators.
- Used as a research tool to study peptide regulation of immune activity.
For research use only. Not intended for human use.
Reduced to just two amino acids, the dipeptide Thymagen represents a minimalist approach to thymic peptide research investigating whether ultrashort sequences can recapitulate aspects of larger thymic compound activity. Also known as Thymogen or Glu-Trp, has the molecular formula C18H23N3O6 and a molecular weight of 365.39 g/mol. Produced via solid-phase peptide synthesis.
In vitro studies using peripheral blood mononuclear cell preparations have investigated whether Glu-Trp modulates cytokine gene transcription through chromatin-level interactions or conventional receptor-mediated signalling. In vivo rodent models have examined whether systemic Thymogen administration alters the relative proportions of naive and memory T-cell populations in secondary lymphoid organs.
Manufactured in a quality-controlled laboratory to a guaranteed purity of 98% or above. Every batch undergoes independent third-party testing using HPLC and MS-UPLC analysis before dispatch. Vials are vacuum sealed and stored in a temperature-controlled, monitored cold storage system. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
Sold strictly for in vitro research purposes only. Not for human consumption. Intended for use by qualified researchers in laboratory settings only.
