What is Ovagen?
A synthetic three-amino-acid peptide designed from fragments of liver and ovarian tissue, Ovagen is studied for its effects on liver and digestive-tract tissue maintenance. Research focuses on its proposed direct action on DNA in a tissue-specific way and its study as a geroprotector for the digestive system.
- Studied for its proposed tissue-specific interaction with DNA.
- Investigated as a peptide bioregulator in liver and digestive-tract research models.
- Examined as a geroprotector candidate in research models.
- Used as a research tool to study peptide regulation of gene expression.
For research use only. Not intended for human use.
Reversing the order of the common Khavinson acidic dipeptide core and appending a hydrophobic leucine residue, the tripeptide Ovagen occupies a distinctive position within the bioregulatory peptide series as a compound associated with hepatic tissue gene regulation. Also designated Glu-Asp-Leu liver tripeptide, has the molecular formula C15H25N3O7 and a molecular weight of 363.38 g/mol. Its sequence Glu-Asp-Leu places two anionic residues at positions 1 and 2 with a branched-chain hydrophobic residue at position 3. Produced via solid-phase peptide synthesis.
In vitro studies using primary hepatocyte cultures and HepG2 cell lines have investigated whether Ovagen modulates transcription of genes encoding cytochrome P450 enzymes and hepatic lipid metabolism regulators. In vivo aged rodent models have examined hepatic transcriptomic changes following systemic Ovagen administration, investigating whether the compound produces gene expression shifts distinct from those observed with lysine-leading Khavinson tripeptides such as Vesugen.
Manufactured in a quality-controlled laboratory to a guaranteed purity of 98% or above. Every batch undergoes independent third-party testing using HPLC and MS-UPLC analysis before dispatch. Vials are vacuum sealed and stored in a temperature-controlled, monitored cold storage system. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
Sold strictly for in vitro research purposes only. Not for human consumption. Intended for use by qualified researchers in laboratory settings only.
