What is N-Acetyl Epitalon?
A more stable form of the peptide Epitalon carrying an acetyl cap, N-Acetyl Epitalon is studied for its effects on cellular ageing and the maintenance of chromosome ends. Research focuses on how the modification resists enzymatic breakdown while the peptide retains the telomerase-related activity of its parent.
- Studied in cultured cells for its effects on telomerase activity.
- Investigated for its added stability versus the parent Epitalon peptide.
- Examined in research models for telomere maintenance.
- Used as a research tool to study cellular ageing.
For research use only. Not intended for human use.
Dual terminal modification of the Epithalon tetrapeptide scaffold — N-terminal acetylation combined with C-terminal amidation — produced an analogue engineered for enhanced metabolic stability. N-Acetyl Epitalon, also referred to as N-Acetyl Epithalon Amidate, has an approximate molecular weight of 432 g/mol. These modifications cap both termini against exopeptidase degradation while preserving the core Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly sequence. Produced via solid-phase peptide synthesis.
In vitro comparative degradation assays have examined the half-life extension conferred by dual terminal capping relative to unmodified Epithalon and singly modified intermediates. In vivo rodent pharmacokinetic models have investigated whether N-Acetyl Epitalon achieves higher systemic exposure and extended tissue residence compared to the parent tetrapeptide.
Manufactured in a quality-controlled laboratory to a guaranteed purity of 98% or above. Every batch undergoes independent third-party testing using HPLC and MS-UPLC analysis before dispatch. Vials are vacuum sealed and stored in a temperature-controlled, monitored cold storage system. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
Sold strictly for in vitro research purposes only. Not for human consumption. Intended for use by qualified researchers in laboratory settings only.
