What is Bronchogen?
A synthetic four-amino-acid peptide designed from fragments of bronchial tissue, also known as AEDL, Bronchogen is studied for its effects on the maintenance and repair of airway tissue. Research focuses on its proposed direct action on DNA, binding specific sites without distorting the double helix.
- Studied for its proposed sequence-specific interaction with DNA.
- Investigated as a short peptide bioregulator in airway-tissue research models.
- Examined for tissue-specific activity in respiratory-cell studies.
- Used as a research tool to study peptide regulation of gene expression.
For research use only. Not intended for human use.
Appending a hydrophobic leucine residue to the Ala-Glu-Asp tripeptide core produced Bronchogen, a tetrapeptide within the Khavinson bioregulatory series investigated for its association with bronchial epithelial tissue gene regulation. Also designated Ala-Glu-Asp-Leu bronchial tetrapeptide, has the molecular formula C19H32N4O9 and a molecular weight of 476.48 g/mol. Produced via solid-phase peptide synthesis.
In vitro studies using primary human bronchial epithelial cell cultures grown at air-liquid interface have investigated whether Bronchogen modulates transcription of mucin genes and Clara cell secretory protein. In vivo aged rodent models have explored bronchial tissue transcriptomic profiles following systemic Bronchogen administration, testing whether the compound produces airway-selective gene expression changes.
Manufactured in a quality-controlled laboratory to a guaranteed purity of 98% or above. Every batch undergoes independent third-party testing using HPLC and MS-UPLC analysis before dispatch. Vials are vacuum sealed and stored in a temperature-controlled, monitored cold storage system. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
Sold strictly for in vitro research purposes only. Not for human consumption. Intended for use by qualified researchers in laboratory settings only.
