Bronchogen is a synthetic tetrapeptide consisting of the sequence alanine-glutamic acid-aspartic acid-leucine (Ala-Glu-Asp-Leu), developed by Professor Vladimir Khavinson's group at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology as a tissue-associated short regulatory peptide bioregulator. Associated with bronchial and lung tissue fractions in the original characterisation work, Bronchogen is studied in preclinical research for its interactions with gene regulatory elements, DNA thermostability, and transcriptional modulation in epithelial cell models in vitro.
