PTD-DBM is a synthetic chimeric research peptide comprising a protein transduction domain (PTD, derived from the HIV-1 TAT sequence) fused to a Dishevelled (Dvl) binding motif (DBM) from the Frizzled receptor. By combining cell-penetrating properties with specific Dvl protein binding, PTD-DBM is used as a research tool in Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway studies, specifically for investigating the disruption of Frizzled-Dishevelled interactions and the downstream consequences for Wnt-responsive gene expression in vitro.
