Kisspeptin-10 is a synthetic 10 amino acid C-terminal fragment of the kisspeptin neuropeptide family, encoded by the KISS1 gene. It is the minimal active fragment of kisspeptin-54 and acts as a potent endogenous agonist at the kisspeptin receptor (KISS1R/GPR54). Kisspeptin-10 is used extensively in reproductive neuroendocrinology research as a tool compound for studying GnRH neuron activation, gonadotropin regulation, and HPG axis signalling in vitro. It is produced via solid-phase peptide synthesis.
