FOXO4-DRI (Proxofim) is a synthetic cell-permeable 46 amino acid peptide constructed entirely from D-amino acids in retro-inverso configuration — a design strategy that produces a mirror-image sequence with equivalent receptor binding properties but substantially enhanced protease resistance compared to the L-amino acid form.
