DNSP-11 (Dopamine Neuron Stimulating Peptide-11) is a synthetic 11 amino acid C-terminally amidated peptide derived from a highly conserved internal dibasic endopeptidase site within the prosequence domain of human glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF). Originally identified by Bradley and colleagues as a functional neuropeptide from the GDNF prosequence, DNSP-11 is used as a research tool in dopaminergic neuroscience studies, particularly investigations of neurotrophic signalling, dopamine neuron survival, and Parkinson's disease pathway research in vitro.
