What is ARA-290?

A synthetic 11-amino-acid peptide derived from a tissue-protective region of erythropoietin, also known as cibinetide, ARA-290 is studied for tissue-protective signalling that does not affect blood production. Research focuses on its action through the innate repair receptor, which activates mainly in injured or inflamed tissue.

  • Studied for its signalling through the innate repair receptor (IRR).
  • Investigated in injury and inflammation models for tissue-protective pathways.
  • Examined for its activity that does not affect erythropoiesis.
  • Used as a research tool to study EPO-derived tissue-protective signalling.

For research use only. Not intended for human use.

Designed as a non-erythropoietic peptide derived from the erythropoietin protein structure, ARA-290 targets a distinct heteromeric receptor complex that has opened a new axis of EPO-related signalling research. Also known as Cibinetide, this cyclic 11-amino acid peptide carries the molecular formula C26H40N8O10 and a molecular weight of 628.65 g/mol. Cibinetide is reported to engage the innate repair receptor (IRR), a heterodimer of the EPO receptor and the beta-common receptor (CD131). Produced via solid-phase peptide synthesis.

In vitro studies using cell lines expressing defined combinations of EPOR and CD131 subunits have investigated the downstream JAK2/STAT signalling pathways selectively activated by Cibinetide. In vivo rodent models have examined whether ARA-290 administration engages tissue-protective signalling cascades without altering haematocrit or reticulocyte counts.

Manufactured in a quality-controlled laboratory to a guaranteed purity of 98% or above. Every batch undergoes independent third-party testing using HPLC and MS-UPLC analysis before dispatch. Vials are vacuum sealed and stored in a temperature-controlled, monitored cold storage system. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is available on request.

Sold strictly for in vitro research purposes only. Not for human consumption. Intended for use by qualified researchers in laboratory settings only.
